Accessibility statement for EHC Hub

This accessibility statement applies to the Education, Health and Care Hub (EHC Hub).

This website is administered by Nottinghamshire County Council and provided by Idox Software Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent version of NVDA)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • users of the website may upload documents (for example, PDF documents) which are not accessible to screen reader software
  • users who rely on a keyboard to navigate the website may be unable to choose advanced text editing options (e.g. indent, text alignment)

If you find any problems not listed on this page or think we’re not meeting accessibility requirements, please tell us:

The council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below:

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Some advanced text formatting options cannot be selected when only using a keyboard to navigate. This fails WCAG 2.2 (Level A) success criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard. Common keyboard shortcuts for text formatting
(e.g. bold, italic, underline) are unaffected. We will make sure all text formatting options can be selected when only using a keyboard by the end of 2025.

This website was last tested on 17 October 2024 against the WCAG 2.2 AA standard.

The test was carried out by Idox Software Ltd. The test was a combination of manual and automated checks and using the Axe Accessibility Testing Tool.
